Etching
In 1993 I began working as an etcher.
A limited edition of 15 to 20 etchings from each plate is normally produced. I enjoy
experimenting with colour in the etchings, however, this is always achieved by
producing different copper plates, one for each colour.
Each plate is registered in the exact position before it goes into the press to produce
the final result. Although this work is time consuming, the process is ‘magical’.
